級別進階
小型欖球分為「熊貓欖球 - Panda」、「小虎欖球，又稱幼虎欖球 - Tiger Cub」和「小龍欖球 - Dragon」三個級別進階。
　

熊貓欖球 - Panda
熊貓欖球在保留傳統欖球運動精粹的同時，為切合幼小球員的需要，欖球總會更改了球和比賽場地的尺吋。熊貓欖球很簡單，不設擒抱動作，主要集中訓練球員接球、傳球和跑的技術，亦會介紹「正集團爭球﹝Scrum﹞」和「爭邊球﹝Line-out﹞」等爭球技術。

細分為三個分組進行培訓及比賽：
「U7J & U7JS」分組，適合六歲以下孩童參與。
「U7」分組，適合七歲以下孩童參與。
「U8」分組，適合八歲以下孩童參與。

小虎欖球，又稱幼虎欖球 - Tiger Cub
小虎欖球繼續集中訓練員跑、傳球等技術。但最重要的，是小虎欖球開始教授「擒抱﹝Tackle﹞」、「拉克﹝Ruck﹞」和「冒爾﹝Maul﹞」等接觸技術。

細分為兩個分組進行培訓及比賽：
「U9」分組，適合九歲以下孩童參與。
「U10」分組，適合十歲以下孩童參與。

Unit Upgrade

Mini rugby is divided into 3 grades: Panda, Tiger Cub and Dragon.

Panda

In preserving the spirit of the traditional rugby sport, and at the same time to suit the ability of young players of the Panda grade,

the HKRFU has altered the size of the ball and match ground.

There is no tackle for the Panda players. Training is focused in teaching the players the skills of running, ball catching and passing.

The players will be introduced about the knowledge of ' scrum’ and ‘line-out’.

The Panda Grade is divided into 3 units:

U7J & U7JS : for children aged below 6.

U7 : for children aged below 7.

U8 : for children aged below 8.

Tiger Cub

Training still concentrate in enhancing their running and ball-passing skills. The players are taught the skill of ‘tackle’,

‘ruck’ and ‘maul’ when they are in the Tiger Cub grade.

The Tiger Cub Grade is divided into 2 units:

U9 : for children aged below 9.

U10 : for children aged below 10.
